Description and Background: This presentation looks at the performance benefits of a Hollow Structural Steel (HSS) as opposed to a w-section. Three (3) sites in varying regional locations: i) prairies of Western Canada; ii) Maritimes of Canada; and iii) the Caribbean, where driven pile foundations were installed are presented.
