President LeadingAhead Energy Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
Description and Background: In this session, Maxime will showcase the benefits and potential business case of integrating a battery storage system with an EV charging strategy in key vertical markets--including commercial real estate, fleets, governments and public organizations. Building off of his knowledge of installing and implementing EV charging stations, Maxime will provide vendor-agnostic expert advice on how to work within existing electrical power infrastructure limitations, which is ultimately better for the environment, the grid, the user and the overall cost of the project. Maxime will also provide an overview of the carbon credit programs in Canada, which will also help increase ROI.
This topic is important as we're in a new era with limited power capacity, integrated solutions using battery storage and EV charging stations combined will be key to deliver sustainable energy in the shift to electric transportation.
Battery storage is relevant for utilities and property owners as it is increasingly difficult to request additional power, putting greater strains on the existing electrical grid. Battery storage is a solution that will also help governments and fleet managers to help flatten the energy demand curve, maximizing the use of the existing energy supply. It is an essential element to reduce climate emissions and meeting government targets, all of which are necessary to continue to fight climate change.
