Brief Analysis on 200m Met Mast Measurement Data

With technological advancements, the hub height has now commonly reached 200 meters, making the need for high-level wind measurements even more critical during early stages. In order to measure the high-level wind resource and obtain comparison difference among various sensors, RETEC was committed to install a 200m met mast, equipped with various wind sensors from main-stream brands like Thies, Kintech, NRG, Vector and Vaisala for multi-level comparative observations. Over 30 sensors including cup-anemometers and ultra-sonic sensors were integerated into 2 Kintech Orbit360 data loggers. This study gives a general introdution about this measurement campaign and hopes to gather more reference for future assessment.
