Alberta has already approved several utility-scale solar PV projects and has a number of other projects being reviewed by AUC and EPA, while in Quebec, the process is just starting. Quebec’s government has announced plans for two solar tenders totaling 300 MW in the next 2 years. We will highlight the key differences, similarities, challenges and opportunities related to the environmental approval processes of solar projects in both provinces.
