A principal engineer with 16 years of experience in wind, Mr. Brodeur is DNV’s Global Practice Lead, Wind Turbine Technology, focusing on collaboration globally and across DNV business units. Mr. Brodeur is also the Director of DNV's North American IE Wind Technology Section, providing opinions on turbine technology for project financing. Mr. Brodeur’s team assesses risks associated with wind turbine technology through turbine technical reviews, site suitability, life extension studies, wind farm construction audits, manufacturing facilities’ audits and operational project reviews. Mr. Brodeur has been directly involved in the assessment of turbine technologies from all major OEMs active in the North American market, and has established relationships with all of them. Mr. Brodeur has been a Speaker at multiple AWEA and CanWEA events in past years. Prior to its current roles, Mr. Brodeur performed energy assessments and acted as Project manager, including for the installation of five met towers in Egypt.
Mr. Brodeur holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering, with focus on wind energy. He is a Green Belt Six Sigma, and Mr. Brodeur is also a recognized APQP4Wind trainer and active working group member.
