Christian Schmelebeck is currently the Head of Utility-Scale Sales, USA and Canada markets for JA Solar. Christian has over 20 years of work experience with non-fossil energy technolgies, including the last 13 years in solar, where he has primarily worked for manufacturers. Christian has been with JA Solar for over 7 years, and is currently responsible for a sales team that delivers more than USD 1 Billion in annual revenue for JA Solar, supporting such global customers like RWE, EDF, Clearway, and Invenergy. Earlier in his career, Christian served as a nuclear submarine officer in the US Navy for seven years, completing two overseas deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Christian has an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, and a Bachelor's of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
