With a diverse background spanning technology, energy, telecommunications, politics, and professional hockey, Jeremy brings a unique and powerful perspective to his role as the leader of Eagle Spirit Business Development. His extensive experience in business development, sales management, and executive leadership has positioned him as a trusted advisor to organizations seeking to achieve their visions and grow their Indigenous relations and business development strategies.
As a self-identifying Indigenous person of Syilx, Cree, and Métis heritage, Jeremy's roots trace back to both the Okanagan Indian Band and the Red River Métis. He leverages this personal connection to support businesses of all sizes in navigating the complexities of Indigenous relations, ensuring that each organization finds tailored solutions that align with their goals and values. Jeremy’s work emphasizes that one size does not fit all, and he is passionate about helping companies design strategies that drive meaningful partnerships and growth.
Throughout his career, Jeremy has drawn on his varied experiences, from serving two terms as an elected official, owning and operating a small business, to playing and refereeing professional hockey. He has also been deeply involved in coaching, mentorship, and chairing political, business, and volunteer organizations, all of which have shaped his holistic approach to leadership.
As a member of the Okanagan Indian Band in Vernon, BC, Jeremy's commitment to Indigenous economic development and fostering partnerships between First Nations and businesses is a driving force behind his work. His passion is to help businesses not only succeed but to create lasting impacts through respectful and mutually beneficial collaborations with Indigenous communities.
Jeremy played professional hockey in the American Hockey League, East Coast Hockey League and Western Hockey League (WHL) for over 10 years. He is proud to have played in the WHL with his younger Brother Rocky who is now an associate coach with the Philadelphia Flyers.
