Arash is a designated professional engineer and consulting engineer and has been working in the field of materials testing, geotechnical engineering, and hydrogeology for over fifteen (15) years. He recently was designated as a Fellow of Engineers Canada, recognizing ten (10) years of volunteering for the engineering profession, where he has been an active member of the Peterborough Chapter of the Professional Engineers of Ontario where he was the vice-chair, education coordinator, and the chapter chair from 2016 to 2018. Arash is the current professor for the Introduction to Sampling Program at Fleming College’s Frost Campus for the Geological Technician Program. Additionally, he is also an advisor for the Construction Technician Program at the Sutherland Campus of Fleming College. He graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering Science with a Professional Internship in Civil and Environmental Engineering and a Technical Entrepreneurship Certificate from Western University. Arash has overseen hundreds of material testing assignments similar to the proposed mandate for the City of Peterborough.
Arash is the founder of PRI. Prior to joining PRI where he is the Chief Operating Officer, Arash was the WSP Geotechnical Team Lead for Northern Ontario working out of the Peterborough office and remotely overseeing their Timmins office. Arash has completed 100’s of geotechnical investigations for a variety of projects from municipal infrastructure, airports, solar developments and roadways. Arash has completed all aspects of the geotechnical investigation, including coordination of works, oversight of subsurface investigation, laboratory testing selection, primary author of geotechnical investigations and peer review of geotechnical investigations.
